An end-of-life notice means that the company is no longer renewing PCI certification, the industry standard for credit card security. It also means Quickbooks stopped issuing software updates after February 2023.
You may keep using your POS equipment until it is no longer operable. However, some features may no longer be supported and the end of support has been announced for October 3rd 2023.
End of support has been announced for October 3rd, 2023. After that date, Quickbooks will no longer provide support for the devices. Merchants should refer to their specific warranties and service agreements to determine the level of maintenance and support they are entitled to receive during the EOL period.
Businesses that keep using their Quickbooks POS after October 3rd, 2023 may be considered non-PCI compliant, and therefore may incur PCI compliance fees as laid out in their merchant agreement.
End-of-support date has been set to October 3d, 2023, so all businesses still using the Quickbooks POS will only be able to receive support based on the business case and parts availability.
